Pranayama

Pranayama is a Sanskrit term that refers to the practice of controlling the breath in yoga. It involves a variety of breathing techniques that can be practiced alone or in conjunction with yoga asanas (postures) and meditation.

The word "pranayama" comes from two Sanskrit words: "prana," meaning life force or vital energy and "ayama," meaning expansion or extension. The practice of pranayama is designed to help individuals control their breath and, in turn, improve their overall physical and mental health.
